Geothermal

Exploration and development of energy resources comprises a substantial portion of the Alaska Earth Sciences consulting portfolio.

Geothermal energy is in the early stages of development in Alaska.  Alaska Earth Sciences leverages its experience in project management, logistics, permitting, engineering, geophysical surveys and geological exploration to help launch geothermal projects.

In recent years, AES has supported the efforts of Ormat, the largest developer of geothermal energy worldwide, to explore its State leases on the flank of Mt. Spurr, 75 miles west of Anchorage.

We have also provided project management, logistics, permitting, engineering, geophysical, mud logging and geological services to Naknek Electric Association's deep drilling program on Bristol Bay.

“So far the drillers have averaged 100 ft a day which is better than I have experienced on any other projects in this part of the Alaska Range. Your guys have gone to great lengths to maximize recovery in the mineralized structures.” Sam Dashevsky, Northern Associates
